DEUX HOMMES

Στο ελληνικό αλλά και διεθνές fashion σύμπαν οι Deux Hommes, ο Γρηγόρης Τριανταφύλλου και ο Δημήτρης Αλεξάκης δηλαδή, κατέχουν μια ξεχωριστή θέση, καθορίζοντας τις αισθητικές σταθερές του σύγχρονου σχεδιασμού από τις αρχές της δεκαετίας του ’90 έως σήμερα. Με έμπνευσή τους την avant-garde τέχνη και τον πνευματικό κόσμο της Ευρώπης, δημιουργούν συλλογές όπου η γλυπτική φόρμα γίνεται ένα με τις γραμμικές σιλουέτες, o ρομαντισμός είναι αιχμηρός, το παρελθόν μπλέκεται με το μέλλον και η υψηλή ραπτική συναντά την αστική ελευθερία του street style.

Ταυτόχρονα, αντλούν έμπνευση από τον κινηματογράφο, το design και τα ευρωπαϊκά καλλιτεχνικά κινήματα, αναζητούν τη λεπτομέρεια χωρίς επιτήδευση, και ενσαρκώνουν τη νεανική ανεμελιά με την πνευματική ωριμότητα υπογράφοντας φορέσιμα manifestos που συνδυάζουν ηθική σχεδίαση, άψογο φινίρισμα και ανατρεπτικές υφές.

Σήμερα, το ατελιέ τους παραμένει σημείο αναφοράς στην καρδιά της Αθήνας, ενώ η παραγωγή τους συνεχίζεται στην Ιταλία, φέροντας την υπογραφή «Made in Italy».

In both the Greek and international fashion spheres, Deux Hommes—comprising Grigoris Triantafyllou and Dimitris Alexakis—hold a distinct place, having shaped the aesthetic constants of contemporary design from the early 1990s to today. Drawing inspiration from avant-garde art and the intellectual world of Europe, they create collections where sculptural form fuses with linear silhouettes, romance takes on an edge, the past intertwines with the future, and haute couture meets the urban freedom of street style.

At the same time, they draw inspiration from cinema, design, and European art movements, seeking detail without affectation and embodying youthful nonchalance with intellectual maturity. Their creations are wearable manifestos that merge ethical design, impeccable craftsmanship, and subversive textures.

Today, their atelier remains a landmark in the heart of Athens, while their production continues in Italy, proudly bearing the label “Made in Italy.”

MARKELLOS POLYDOROU

Ο Μάρκελλος Πολυδώρου αναδύεται ως μια από τις πιο υποσχόμενες φωνές της σύγχρονης ελληνικής μόδας, με μια δημιουργική πορεία που συνδυάζει τη φυσιολατρική έμπνευση με την υψηλή ραπτική δεξιοτεχνία. Γεννημένος στην Αθήνα, σπούδασε στο Γεωπονικό Πανεπιστήμιο, όπου η επαφή του με τη φύση αποτέλεσε το θεμέλιο της αισθητικής του. Αυτοδίδακτος αρχικά, ξεκίνησε με κοστούμια θεάτρου, προτού συνεχίσει τις σπουδές του στο Politecnico di Milano.

Η καριέρα του απογειώθηκε όταν η avant-pop καλλιτέχνις Róisín Murphy φόρεσε ένα εντυπωσιακό κίτρινο φόρεμα από την πτυχιακή του συλλογή στην ευρωπαϊκή της περιοδεία το 2019. Tο 2020 τιμήθηκε με το βραβείο “Elle Fashion Young Talents Graduate Award” και ακολούθησε η συνεργασία του με τον οίκο Iris van Herpen, όπου εργάστηκε για δύο χρόνια, συμβάλλοντας στη δημιουργία της συλλογής "Earth Rise".

Το 2023, παρουσίασε την πρώτη του συλλογή "Against All Logic", μια ωδή στην υψηλή ραπτική, με περίτεχνες χειροποίητες λεπτομέρειες και εμπνευσμένα από τη φύση prints.

Σήμερα, στο ατελιέ του στο Κουκάκι, δημιουργεί συλλογές που παντρεύουν την τέχνη με τη μόδα, προτρέποντας το κοινό να αγκαλιάσει την αυθεντικότητα και την ελευθερία έκφρασης. Ο Μάρκελλος Πολυδώρου δεν είναι απλώς ένας σχεδιαστής μόδας. Είναι μια νέα πνοή στην ελληνική μόδα.

Markellos Polydorou is emerging as one of the most promising voices in contemporary Greek fashion, with a creative path that blends a love for nature with haute couture craftsmanship. Born in Athens, he studied at the Agricultural University of Athens, where his connection to nature became the foundation of his aesthetic. Initially self-taught, he began by designing costumes for theatre before continuing his studies at the Politecnico di Milano.

His career took off when avant-pop artist Róisín Murphy wore a striking yellow dress from his graduation collection during her European tour in 2019. This was followed by a collaboration with the house of Iris van Herpen, where he worked for two years, contributing to the creation of the "Earth Rise" collection.

In 2023, he presented his first collection, "Against All Logic", a tribute to haute couture featuring intricate handcrafted details and nature-inspired prints.

Today, from his atelier in Koukaki, he creates collections that merge art with fashion, encouraging the public to embrace authenticity and the freedom of expression. Markellos Polydorou is not just a fashion designer—he represents a fresh new wave in Greek fashion.
